Visiting Homemaker Services
United Way of Hudson County provides funding for Visiting Homemaker Services which works with DYFS when a visiting caretaker is needed to stay with children who may be in crisis. When DYFS calls, Visiting Homemaker Services will send a social worker who brings a cot with them and actually sleeps in the home to look after the child.
Visiting Homemaker Service of Hudson County oversees a staff of registered nurses, social workers, certified home health aides, and trained and supervised home care aides who have an average of 10 years experience working with children and elderly clients.
